新中国成立以来,党和国家高度重视思想道德建设,积极探索有效途径,积累宝贵经验,大致经历了四个发展阶段。社会主义道德建设的基本特点表现为:从群体主义走向个体主义、从一元价值到多元融合、从伦理本位到工具理性与价值理性的统一、从自发的认知到观念与现实的"虚实"结合。它给当代社会主义道德建设的启示是:坚持以马克思主义意识形态为指导,实现道德与经济、政治、文化等的互动融合;坚持以人为本原则,建立以政府为主导,社会、家庭、学校齐抓共管的社会道德建设体系;坚持科学的方法论原则,强调道德建设的针对性和实效性;坚持与时俱进原则,不断吸收人类优秀的道德文明成果。

Since the foundation of New China,party and the country attached great importance to ideological and moral con-struction,actively explored the effective way,accumulated valuable experience and underwent four stages of development. The fundamental features of socialist morality construction are:from collectivism to individualism,from unitary value to multi-element integration,from ethics standards to the combination of instrumental rationality and value rationality,from voluntary cognition to the combination of concept and reality. The implication to contemporary socialist morality construction is:stick to Marxist ideology to realize interactive integration of economics,politics,and culture; stick to people-oriented principle to build a government-dominated social morality construction system with society,family,and school co-working; stick to scientific methodology and emphasize the pertinence and effectiveness of morality construction; stick to keeping up with the times to absorb outstanding moral achievements of human civilization.
