为加强文化交流与沟通,避免误解与障碍,认识并尊重中美两国人民礼仪习惯及价值观念差异十分重要。通过对中西方礼仪文化的溯源,并结合在中美两国间学习、工作之真实感受,论述了中美礼仪文化差异,社交礼仪差异和价值取向差异,探究了中美两国在人性认知、民族性格、社会习俗、社会关系等方面的不同表现。辨析并尊重中西方文化差异,有助于弘扬中国文化,增强话语权,提升软实力。
Abstract：An awareness of the differences in value systems and social etiquette between China and United States is needed to avoid misunderstanding and communication breakdowns. Considering the origins of Chinese and western social etiquettes as well as the personal experiences of our work and study in both China and United States, the paper discusses the differences in Chinese and western cultures, social etiquette, and values. Further, the paper illuminates the different manifestations of cognition, national characters, social norms, and interpersonal relationships in China and United States. Appreciative of the cultural differences between China and West, this paper contributes to the promotion of Chinese culture as well as the enhancement of its soft power.
